Zinc’s first programme officially ended at the end of June 2018; but our first mission - to tackle women’s and girls' mental and emotional health - has only just started.
The first programme has resulted in 16 companies which are aimed at improving mental and emotional health through a diverse range of solutions.
These mission-led businesses are all in the very early stages of their journey and require support in various forms, including advice and mentorship, funding, office space, and finding talented and passionate early team members.
At the same time, over the course of the first mission, we have met with hundreds of incredible people with relevant skills, experience, connections and resources, who are keen to support the mission and the companies, and to follow their journey.
Our goal is to bring together these groups of people, all of whom are driven and motivated to make a real impact.
Introducing Zinc Connect
Zinc Connect is a new series of quarterly events helping connect the Zinc Mission 1 companies with talent, mentors and partners, to seed and grow connections.
We are looking to bring together people who are interested in getting involved with Mission 1 ventures through one or more of the following:
1) Becoming an Advisor / Mentor. Are you an expert in a particular domain (e.g. entrepreneurship, investment, research, clinical practice, etc.) interested in advising or mentoring the Founders and their companies?
2) Joining a Business. Are you interested in joining an early-stage, mission-driven start-up in mental health?
3) Working with the Teams. Are you interested in working with an early-stage, mission-led start-up to gain experience through project-based work, an internship, or a student placement?
4) Supporting the Businesses. Are you looking to invest and support the mission-led companies via capital and other resources, such as work-space?
